How To Add Google Analytics to Joomla Print E-mail

Google Analytics (abbreviated GA) is a free service offered by Google that generates detailed statistics about the visitors to a website.


Here is how to add Google Analytics to Joomla 1.5  (if you want to see the video demo click here)


I assume you already have a Google Analytic acocunt.
First, login into your Google Analytics account and generate your  tracking code.
Here is Google Analytics Homepage


For Joomla 1.5

  • Login to Joomla  administrator account.
  • go to menu Extension >>Template Manager
  • click on your default template >> Edit HTML
  • paste your Google Analytics tracking code right before </body> tag
  • then click on save.
You are done!!

Here is an image show where  you have to insert your Google Analytics tracking code

 

 
Usually Google Analytics statistics is updated daily around 3 am EST
